The story follows Haley Graham (played by Missy Peregrym), a rebellious former gymnast who walks out on the World Championships, causing the U.S. team to lose gold. Years later, after a run-in with the law involving a property damage incident, she is sentenced to attend an elite gymnastics academy run by the legendary (and washed-up) coach Burt Vickerman (Jeff Bridges).
