The movie follows the life of Jerry Maguire, a high-flying sports agent at Sports Management International. After a crisis of conscience, he writes a visionary mission statement titled The Things We Think and Do Not Say: The Future of Our Business, which leads to his firing. Left with only one client, a volatile wide receiver named Rod Tidwell, and a single employee, Dorothy Boyd, Jerry must rebuild his career and life from scratch.
