The 30004R’s original KHS-400B laser is garbage. Instead, swap it for a KHS-400C (from the 50004) or install an HDD kit .
If your laser is struggling, try the "Diagnosis Mode" trick. Go to Version -> Console -> Diagnosis -> On . This can sometimes recalibrate the laser on the fly and get those stubborn discs spinning again. ps2 scph30004rbin better
