The Skanda Purana is the largest of the 18 Mahapuranas. The original Sanskrit text is encyclopedic in nature, containing over 81,000 verses. It is unique because it is primarily narrated by himself or his attendant, Lord Brahma , to the sage Vyasa, who then compiled it. The Purana is named after Skanda (Kartikeya), the commander of the divine army and the son of Shiva and Parvati.

As he opened it, the screen didn't just show text; it seemed to breathe. The story began not with words, but with the scent of burnt camphor and the sound of a distant peacock’s cry. The Birth of the Warrior
