After the death of T’Challa (a nod to the real-life passing of actor Chadwick Boseman), the kingdom of Wakanda is in turmoil. Instead of following the canonical Marvel storyline where Shuri (T’Challa’s sister) takes the mantle, this narrative introduces an original character— Nia Udaku —the secret daughter of T’Challa, raised in seclusion in the Jabari Mountains.
