In 2017, a mobile version of Skullgirls was launched on iOS and Android. This was not 2nd Encore ; rather, it was a simplified touch-control port of the original game. It aimed to replicate the console experience but suffered from control limitations typical of touchscreens. Crucially, this version was eventually delisted and discontinued, rendering the "original" Skullgirls unplayable on modern Android hardware via official storefronts.
