Regret Island (hypothetical developer, 2023) is an open-world psychological horror game where players’ decisions affect both the environment and character relationships. Prior to the UPD, regret was represented ephemerally through dialogue changes. The Gallery UPD institutionalizes this emotion. Located on a previously inaccessible eastern peninsula of the island, the Gallery is a Brutalist concrete structure containing dioramas, frozen NPCs, and recorded audio logs.
