The film follows (Katie Featherston) and Micah (Micah Sloat), a young middle-class couple living in a suburban San Diego home. Katie believes a demonic entity has been haunting her since childhood. Micah, being skeptical and overly confident, buys a professional-grade camera to film their sleep and "prove" nothing is wrong.
They set up more cameras: angles covering stairways, windows, the attic hatch. The footage piled up, hours of nothing punctuated by quiet horror: a rocking chair moved on its own; a curtain billowed though no draft could be found; an old diary opened to a page soaked in age. In the diary’s shaky handwriting they read the same lullaby’s lines and, beneath them, one sentence repeated over and over: “Cho con ngủ” — let me sleep.
