Maleek is a cocky, fearless, but often incompetent paramedic who thinks he’s an action hero. Wendy is a brilliant, no-nonsense, recently widowed veteran paramedic who is counting the days until retirement. They are forced to work together as partners in an ambulance (callsign "Bloods"). The show follows their chaotic 12-hour shifts dealing with ridiculous emergencies—from a man stuck in a tanning bed to a gluten-intolerance crisis at a bakery.
